This site currently contains a large single house on this relatively large corner plot. It has a tricky history of a refused planning application and appeal to work the scheme around. After negotiations with Poole Planning the project was granted planning at the August Planning Committee.
The proposal consisted of splitting the site into two plots with a large cojoined single building spanning the two plots. A shared Drive from Lawrence Drive provides access to the two buildings whilst appearing as though the access was to a single house only. Strong and solid ground floor external brick walls combines with a lighter timber rainscreen cladding above to create a clear delineation between floors. The more solid wall to the east of the site also helps in acting as a baffle to the noise from Canford Cliff Road. Both plots are orientated towards their generous gardens with living spaces connecting the gardens to the rest of the house.
